Ubiquiti UniFi Protect cloud access is down, again

Ubiquiti UniFi Protect cloud access is down, again

Earlier this week on Tuesday around 15:00 UK time, we reported that Ubiquiti had a global outage for UniFi Protect which affected remote access and due to how the mobile app works, local access too. The service came back up again around 12-13 hours later and the root cause was put down to “usually high load” and extra servers were deployed to cope with the demand.

However at about 8:30am this morning UK time, another outage seems to have occurred and so far it has been down for six hours. Ubiquiti did also say after the outage this week that the mobile app would be updated to not require the cloud access to log in locally, this version has been released via the Test Flight app.
