The G4 Dome was spotted on the Ubiquiti website back in April last year, as part of a site revamp for the UniFi Protect section and it was marked as “coming soon” for a number of weeks, until being removed shortly afterwards. Some notable items have been changed, such as the LED ring and IP67 weather rating but the camera finally launched in December 2020. It offers much better night vision that the outing G3 Dome, which has now been removed from the Ubiquiti Store all together as of writing. With the G4 sensor, similar to the G4 Bullet it can offer Smart Detection for people and vehicles, at 4MP 24FPS at 1440p. It also has a IK08 vandal resistant rating, like the G4 Bullet.

Also new is the speaker, allowing for two way audio via the UniFi Protect app.

As of January 2021, the G3 Dome has been removed from sale from the official Ubiquiti Store in the EU and US.
