Upcoming Fiat 500e gains new trim which will be under £20k

The third generation Fiat 500 was announced earlier this year and for the first time, it will be a fully electric car and as of June, Fiat announced the pricing was from £29,000 for the convertible and from £26,995 for the hatchback. Both cars will have 199 miles of range. That price is common for a premium electric hatchback at the moment, both the Honda e and the Mini Electric are around £30,000 in the UK.

Today, Fiat has announced that the new Fiat 500e will start from £19,995 for the base model, that price is taking the £3500 plug-in car grant into consideration. Fiat 500e Action will have a 94bhp motor, will do 0-60mph in 9.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 84mph. Range is rated at 115 miles from the 23.8kWh battery.

Fiat 500e Action

70kW motor with 84bhp, 23.8kWh battery, 0-60mph in 9.5 seconds, top speed of 84mph and a range of 115 miles WLTP. 50kW fast charging supported. No touchscreen is offered, instead a smartphone holder – similar to the VW up!

500e Action is a hatchback only and is £19,995.

Fiat 500e Passion

87kW motor with 118bhp, 42kWh battery, 0-60mph in 9.0 seconds, top speed of 93mph and a range of 199 miles WLTP. 85kW fast charging supported. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is offered via a 7-inch touchscreen.

500e Passion is both offered in convertible and hatchback and is £23,495.

Fiat 500e Icon

87kW motor with 118bhp, 42kWh battery, 0-60mph in 9.0 seconds, top speed of 93mph and a range of 199 miles WLTP. 85kW fast charging supported. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is offered via a 10.25-inch touchscreen. The icon adds more style additions such as body coloured dash and wood effect.

500e Passion is both offered in convertible and hatchback and is £24,995.

Fiat 500e La Prima

La Prima is the range topper and adds even more extras and has the same 199 mile range as the other tiers. La Prima is £26,995.

New Fiat 500e 3+1

The new 500e 3+1 has the same physical dimensions the other cars, but will offer hinged doors at the rear, allowing easier rear access. 500e 3+1 will only come for left hand drive markets initially.

Order books will be opening this December with customer deliveries starting in March 2021.
