UK order books now open for new Renault Megane E-Tech Electric

This week, Renault has started offering the all new Megane E-Tech Electric in the UK, with the order books officially being opened on 12th May. The new all electric car will be offered here in three trim levels, with Equilibre, Techno and Launch Edition. At the moment, potential customers can put a deposit down, with a a refundable £500.

In the UK, Renault will be offering one battery option, whereas in the rest of Europe a smaller option will be available. In the UK, a 60kWh battery is offered but in Europe a 40kWh will be on sale too. The larger pack will enable the Megane to do 280 miles on one charge, with support for rapid charging at 130kW DC.

Top speed is 99mph, with 0-60mph handled in 7.4 seconds.

Inside the Megane will be a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 9-inch infotainment screen, which has support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new Renault Megane E-Tech Electric can be ordered now in the UK and is expected to be available later this year. Full prices are to be confirmed.
