Firefly arrives in more European countries, available now in Greece, Denmark, Austria, and Portugal

Firefly in Greece, Denmark, Austria, and Portugal

Nio has started to enter new markets in Europe for its new Firefly electric hatchback, with owners in Denmark and Greece having recently received their vehicles and pre-orders just started in Austria and Portugal.

The Firefly EV was announced at the end of 2024 and customers in China started to receive their cars in April 2025.

Since then, the company has been expanding into Europe, with Norway, the Netherlands and Belgium receiving the car in the summer. Now, it is launching in Greece, Denmark, Austria and Portugal.

Pricing in Austria starts at €30,900 (£27.137) and goes up to €32,490 (£28,533) for the top spec version. Pricing varies a lot based on the country, with it being the cheapest in Norway, thanks to the lack of tariffs.

Firefly will expand into right-hand drive markets in 2026, with a UK expansion planned.

It has a 42.1kWh battery, with a range of up to 330km (205 miles) on the WLTP cycle.
