Alfa Romeo announces the pricing for the upcoming Tonale SUV

Alfa Romeo has today revealed the pricing for the all new Tonale SUV, the first hybrid from the company. The new car is available to order immediately, with the first deliveries expected in September 2022. Prices start at £38,595 in the UK and go up to £42,495 for the top spec model.

The Tonale sits under the Stelvio SUV and is the first hybrid Alfa Romeo has released and the first compact SUV too. There are just three trim levels to pick from, with Speciale, Ti and Veloce.

Speciale

The Speciale is the entry level model, costing from £38,595. It comes with features such as a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with support for an integrated satellite navigation service as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. One nice feature to see as standard is wireless smartphone charging.

Other standard kit includes automatic headlights and wipers, dual-zone air conditioning and electric mirrors.

Ti

Moving up to the Ti, which costs from £39,995. Here there is a bespoke design on the outside, with 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome  front grille and gloss back mirrors and wheel caps. Inside is black seats and a leather steering wheel.

Veloce

Right at the top of the range is the Veloce, prices start at £42,495. This has a new dual-stage valve suspension (DVS) system and a completely different design to the rest of the range. Inside are aluminium pedals and gearshift paddles as well as a funky black and red Alcantara seating fabric. On the outside is privacy glass and 19-inch alloy wheels.

In terms of engines, all models have the same system underneath with a 1.5-litre system combined with a 48v electric motor to make 157bhp.

The new Tonale is on sale now in the UK with the first deliveries expected in September 2022.
