Apple is now the number one headphone company in the US

Apple is leading the headphone market in the US right now, thanks to its success with AirPods and Beats. Apple debuted AirPods in 2016 alongside the iPhone 7 which was the same year the company removed the 3.5mm headphone jack from it.

Since then, Apple has been expanding its product line of wireless headphones, with now the third generation of AirPods on sale, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. Beats is also launching new models, some designed for Apple users and others less so which helps make them appeal to Android users.

According to a survey conducted by Statista, Apple is now the number one company in the US for headphones, with AirPods making up 34.4% of the market and Beats making up 15.3% of the market. Both together, means Apple is 50% of the headphone market in the US.

Statista have said that AirPods are the “most popular headphones on the planet.”
