Apple launches Apple Fitness+

Apple launches Apple Fitness+

Starting today with the launch of iOS 14.3 and watchOS 7.2, Apple has made its new fitness based service, Apple Fitness+ available. It was announced back in September along side Apple One, the new bundle service, iPad 8th gen, new Apple Watches and iPad Air.

Apple Fitness+ is included in the Premium plan of Apple One which is £29.95 per month / $29.95 or on its own for £9.99/$9.99 per month. Apple is offering yearly based plans for £79.99/$79.99 too.

Apple Fitness+ has video based workouts for yoga, cycling, dance, strength, walking, running and much more. Some require equipment and some don’t. The service will launch United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand next week. Note, watchOS 7 and iOS 14 are required to use it.

An Apple Watch Series 3 or later running watchOS 7.2 is required and with iPadOS 14.3 and tvOS 14.3 a new Fitness app is added from iOS with support for Apple Fitness+ as those devices can be used to show the training videos.

A free three month trial is offered to new Apple Watch owners who purchased an ‌Apple Watch Series 6‌, Series 3, or SE after the 15th September 2020.
