Apple releases iOS 14.7.1 and iPadOS 14.7.1

Last week, Apple released iOS 14.7 and iPadOS 14.7 which fixed a few issues and added support for the new MagSafe Battery for iPhone 12. Today Apple has followed that update on with iOS 14.7.1 as a bug came about which affected the unlock with Apple Watch feature on iPhones with Touch ID.

iOS 14.7.1 iPadOS 14.7.1 work on all the same devices as iOS 14.7 and iPadOS 14.7 and can be downloaded now by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

Release Notes

  • iOS 14.7.1 fixes an issue where iPhone models with Touch ID cannot unlock a paired Apple Watch using the Unlock with iPhone feature. This update also provides important security updates and is recommended for all users.
