As well as releasing iOS 16 today, Apple has also released a security update for iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, with the release of iOS 15.7 and iPadOS 15.7. This is available for those customers not able to upgrade to iOS 16, whether the phone doesn’t support it like the iPhone 7 or people are holding off for various reasons.

iPadOS 15.7 is available now and will be worth upgrading to, as iPadOS 16 is delayed until October this year.

The update addresses some kernel vulnerabilities and fixes various security issues with default apps and services, such as Contacts, Maps, Safari, Safari Extensions, Shortcuts, and WebKit.

iOS 15.7 and iPadOS 15.7 can be downloaded now by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
