Apple will be requiring that apps must allow account deletion in app, from next year

Apple will be requiring that apps must allow account deletion in app, from next year

Apple this week has reiterated to developers that any apps on the App Store that allow a user to make an account, must allow easy account deletion in the app starting from 31st January 2022. Many apps on the app store allow a user to make an app, but a lot of the time the process to delete that account can be very convoluted, in a lot of cases – the user to needs to email customer service to do so.

This new rule will apply to any apps updated or submitted as of or after 31st January 2022.
