Audi introduces new RS3 with nearly 400bhp

Audi has introduced a brand new version of its RS3 hot hatch and saloon, this time for the third generation Audi has given it 394bhp, new four wheel drive system and like the old Ford Focus RS and new Golf R, a drift mode for the first time.

The new RS3 is based on the latest fourth generation A3, which was revealed in April 2020 and comes in traditional hatchback style as well as a baby saloon. Powering this ‘super hatch’ is a 2.5-litre five cylinder petrol engine, with 395bhp with a seven speed DSG gearbox, with a 0-60mph time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 174mph.

To help all that power come to a stop, Audi has fitted new larger brakes to the RS3, with six piston callipers and vented discs all round. These are said to help cooling by 20%.

Inside the RS3 is a new carbon fibre instrument panel, sports seats in leather with the choice of black, red or green contrasting stitching.

The new Audi RS3 goes on sale next month with first customer deliveries to start later this year. Prices start at £50,900 for the hatchback and £51,900 for the saloon.
