Kia PV5 Crew production starts later this month

Kia PV5 Crew

Kia has announced that production of the Kia PV5 Crew will start later this month, with some of the UK specifications also confirmed at the same time. When the PV5 was originally revealed back in February 2025, a wide product lineup was planned which included a traditional crew van, which wasn't part of the original launch when it went on sale on 1st May 2025.

So far, the PV5 has been available as standard Cargo van and the PV5 Passenger variant, but the new Crew variant offers more seats, while still classing it as a commercial vehicle, which can be useful for Benefit in Kind (BiK) and tax purposes.

The Crew van is based on the PV5 Cargo L2/H1 and offers a very flexible way to expand the cargo area with a sliding partition, which can be operated with a single lever. This will fold the seats, move the bulk head smoothly and expand the cargo area from 2.4 to 3.7 cubic metres.

So far, Kia will only be offering the PV5 Crew with the smaller 51.5kWh battery, which offers up to 175 miles of range. At the moment, it isn't clear if Kia will offer the larger 71.2kWh pack, which has 258 miles of range in the Cargo version.

Kia will start production of the PV5 Crew on 30th April at its dedicated factory in South Korea with prices to be confirmed.
