Chevrolet Corvette C8 will go on sale this October in the UK, from £81,700

Chevrolet Corvette C8 will go on sale this October in the UK, from £81,700

The new Chevrolet Corvette C8 stingray will be going on sale this year as planned. We reported last year that the latest mid-engined Corvette would come to the UK in 2021 and now Chevrolet has revealed prices too.

The famous American supercar will come to the UK later this year in October, for the first time in right hand drive too. Priced from £81,700, it’ll come in coupé and convertible versions with the convertible priced at £87,110. All models on sale in the UK come with most of the optional extras fitted as standard, most likely to keep versions down which would add complexity, to what will be a small selling car in the UK.

All cars will come with the Z51 performance package, with the 2LT trim too. This means the Corvette has manually adjustable suspension, larger brake discs, electronic limited-slip differential, performance exhaust system, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres and an aerodynamically enhancing bodykit – all as standard. Optional extras include Bose speaker system, rear view camera as well as ventilated seats.

The engine is, for the first time in a Corvette mid-engined, fitted is a huge 6.2-litre V8 generating 495bhp, driving the rear wheels. 0-60mph is handled in under 3 seconds and has 470lb ft of torque.

The new Corvette goes on sale in the UK this October.
