Deezer now works natively on HomePod

Deezer is now fully compatible with the HomePod as a default music streaming service. Earlier this month Deezer announced support and now joins Pandora and Amazon Music as options for default music sources.

Apple added the support for third party music services last year, with iOS 14.3 and there is no input needed from Apple for that service to integrate with the HomePod and HomePod mini, meaning despite Spotify complaining it hasn’t been able to get access to the HomePod, it is fully able to integrate with the API offered by Apple.

To get the HomePod to work with Deezer, you need iOS 14.3 or later and the latest version of the Deezer app.
