DuckDuckGo launches new browser for Mac, focused on privacy

DuckDuckGo has launched its browser of the Mac this week, following on from the success the company has had with it on the iPhone. It is available now, in beta and is designed as an alternative to Google Chrome and Safari. It has a number of privacy features, email protection and a tracker blocker similar to the one included in Safari.

DuckDuckGo has conducted some test for the speed, and said the beta version is “really fast” and it uses 60% less data than Chrome and is faster than Chrome in some graphics tests.
