Electric Mercedes G-Class is priced from £180,860 in the UK

Mercedes has recently put the new electric Mercedes G-Class on sale in the UK, with prices starting from £180,860, with just the one trim level available.

Along with the new electric version, the company has also revamped the entire lineup with new petrol and diesel versions too. Interestingly, the electric version is actually less expensive than the fire breathing AMG G53.

To give it its full name, the G580 with EQ Technology is pretty similar to the combustion versions and has four motors with a staggering 579bhp and 859lb ft of torque. The battery used is also huge, with 116kWh usable and 200kW DC fast charging speeds. Range is rated at 292 miles, mainly due to the shape of the G-Class being not overly aerodynamic.

The other G-Class models offered include the G450 diesel which costs £136,690, G500 petrol at £146,095 and the AMG G53 at £184,595.
