Ferrari reveals new Ferrari 296 GTS spider

Ferrari has this week revealed a new convertible version of the 296 GTB, with the 296 GTS. Both cars are hybrid and use a turbocharged V6, which together make 819bhp. For the convertible roof, Ferrari says it only takes 14 seconds for it to fold up or down and can be operated at speeds up to 28mph.

The rest of the car looks identical to its hard topped stablemate, the GTB. A lot of the design elements are the same, it simply is a convertible version of the GTB with just a name change. Engine is the same 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 plug in hybrid that makes 819bhp, 0-60mph is unchanged at 2.9 seconds. Top speed is also 205mph, the same as the coupe.

As this is a hybrid Ferrari, there is a eDrive mode which lets you drive the car in electric mode only, there is a 7.45kWh battery pack which will let you go just 15 miles.
