Firefly to enter Europe this summer, RHD markets by October

Nio Firefly Headlights

Nio only put the highly anticipated Firefly hatchback on sale a few days ago, but it already has plans for sales overseas. Firefly will launch in Europe this summer between June and August and then it'll enter right hand drive markets in October.

The Firefly hatchback is the first electric car from Nio sub-brand Firefly and despite only going on sale in the last few days, the company is already looking to start sales outside of China.

At a media roundtable yesterday, CnEVPost posed a question to Nio co-founder Qin Lihong, regarding the timeline for Firefly expansion outside of China.

Qin said that by the end of 2025, Firefly will be in twenty markets outside of China and the right hand drive model will be ready by October for the UK and Southeast Asia.

Pricing in China starts at RMB 119,800, which works out to be only £12,371 when converted.
