Ford announces brand new 2022 Ford Ranger Raptor, with V6 and 284bhp

Ford announces brand new 2022 Ford Ranger Raptor, with V6 and 284bhp

Ford has today introduced the first new model in the fourth generation Ranger lineup, with the all new Ranger Raptor, the most extreme and performance focused model in the range. The old models had a 2.0-litre diesel engine, but Ford has now swapped this out for a much more suitable and more powerful, petrol V6.

The new engine is a 3.0-litre petrol V6, pushing out 284bhp, which has 74bhp more than the outgoing model. On the exterior, the new Ranger looks to take inspiration from the F-150 Raptor, with very similar light design and FORD logo on the grille.

The new Ranger Raptor is due to go on sale soon, with the first customer deliveries starting this summer. Ford is expected to announce some standard models soon, which will go on sale later this year.

Changes over the standard Raptor include the huge FORD logo on the grille, flared wheel arches, 17-inch alloys, all terrain tyres, new seats with orange trim pieces and magnesium paddle shifters.
