Ford cuts the price of the Mustang Mach-E by £7,000

Ford in the UK has recently dropped the price of its all electric Mustang Mach-E. This recent price cut is simply a reverse decision, following on from price increases that Ford did back in 2022 when the Mustang Mach-E was raised in price by £7,700. At the time, the company said that the cost of raw materials had risen and the increase in inflation had in turn had removed a lot of profit from the vehicle.

The SUV now retails for £43,830 for the Select trim level which comes with 273 miles and is cheaper than the entry level Tesla Model 3. The next step up is the Premium with 372 miles of range and larger battery. This retails for £52,380 and then the top spec GT model is now £67,540.

These price changes most likely wont be permanent, as the company says that this is a mere “promotion price” but there isn’t a date mentioned on when the prices could go up again.

Ford in the UK at least, has a unique way of selling the Mustang Mach-E. The company has been following in the footsteps of Tesla in a lot of ways and only for the Mach-E, Ford is essentially doing direct sales and using its network of dealers as agents. Each sale of a Mach-E, the dealer receives a flat fee and in doing this, Ford can control the price of the car instead of the dealer dictating it.
