Genesis will become an EV only brand by 2025

Genesis will become an EV only brand by 2025

We reported earlier this year that Genesis will be coming to the UK market this year and a handful of its models are now on sale. Earlier last week, the Hyundai owned company is going all in on electric vehicles starting in 2025. Hyundai and Kia themselves already have a large number of EVs on sale and Genesis is a luxury car division of Hyundai.

Starting in 2025, all new models released will be electric only and then by 2030, the company is aiming to have eight new EVs on sale.

The first all electric Genesis to be released will be the GV60 and sit on the same platform as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6. Official specs are due to be announced.
