Google’s new Pixel Buds are now available to order – well join a waiting list

This week, Google made the new Pixel Buds available to order directly from the Google Store for $179 in the US and at this time, no UK pricing has been revealed.

At the time of writing, the US and UK website have a button to say “Join Waitlist” so it seems initial stock of the Clearly White versions have sold out. Other colours, such as Almost Black, Quite Mint and Oh So Orange are available but these are coming soon, according to Google.

Google announced the new Pixel Buds back in October last year, the new ones are smaller than the first versions and as a result should have a more comfortable fit. One of the headline features is real time translation using Google Translate, in 40 languages.

Battery life is rated at 5 hours, but like with the AirPods the charging case tops up the buds and can provide up to an addition 19 hours. Google has made the Pixel Buds work like AirPods and pair very easily with other Android phones.
