iOS 12.2 was released yesterday just after the Apple event for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch but also a new software update for HomePod was released: 12.2

This update, despite being a point release doesn’t contain much at all, only that iOS 12.2 for HomePod now adds support for 802.1x wireless networks that don’t require unique credentials to join – this type of set up is usually found in enterprise or university environments.

Update

HomePod 12.2 software update is available now and you can update your HomePod via the Home app on iOS.
