Hyundai i30N arrives in South Africa

Here in the UK, the infamous hot hatch from Hyundai has been on sale for over two years now, when it made its debut on UK soil in September 2017, but it has taken its time to get to South Africa and today is that day.

The Hyundai i30N is now on sale in a few dealers across the country, in 14 dealers at the time of writing. Belville, Somerset West, Port Elizabeth, Durban South, Pinetown, Umhlanga, Richard’s Bay, East Rand, The Glen, Sandton, Roodepoort, Centurion, Wonderboom, Polokwane will all get allocation of the hot hatch.

Performance

The i30N has a 2.0-litre petrol engine which produces 247bhp, 0-60mph is dealt with in 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 155mph. The i30N is front wheel drive only and has a six speed manual gearbox.

Pricing

Hyundai is offering the i30n for 679856 RAND which is around £35,000. The i30n when it launched here in the UK started at £24,995 and the more powerful ‘Performance’ version was £27,995.
