Last week, a the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Ineos inveiled a new model based on the Grenadier 4×4, the Quartermaster which is a pickup truck with impressive load and towing stats as well as a lot of features that pickup truck owners expect in 2023. Like the Grenadier, the Quartermaster uses the same BMW sourced engines and the new truck will be priced from £66,125 (including VAT).

The Quartermaster is a five seat truck, with capability of towing 3500kg and carrying up to 835kg in the load bay. As mentioned, the engines come from BMW and there is the choice of two 3.0-litre twin turbocharged units, with either petrol or diesel. In petrol form, the truck makes 282bhp with 322lb ft torque. In diesel, 246bhp and 406lb ft torque. As expected, it is four wheel drive with a centre differential and for those of us who are more hardcore, front and rear differentials are optional extras.

Ineos have boasted some competitive figures for the truck, with 264mm of ground clearance, 800mm wading depth and departure angles of 35.5deg for maximum approach, breakover of 26.2deg and departure of 22.6deg. When compared to a rival, such as the new Ford Ranger Raptor, it has an approach angle of 32.0deg and breakover and departure of 24.0deg.

No word from Ineos when the Quartermaster is going to go on sale. but prices will be from £66,125. The top trim Belstaff Edition will be £73,715.
