Lamborghini reveals brand new Countach

Lamborghini reveals brand new Countach

Last week, Lamborghini revived an old name plate with the brand new Countach for 2021, deliveries are set to commence in 2022, a price tag of 112 cars and a price tag of £2 million. The new car was leaked before the official unveiling, with a photoshopped version making the rounds on Twitter too. Lamborghini produced the Countach from the mid 70s to the early 90s for around 15 years in total and made a little under 2,000. With the new Countach, Lamborghini has chosen to make it a high priced and ultra limited run of cars – with only 112 ever going to be made.

For the first time too, the Countach is now a hybrid with a V12, producing 769bhp and a a further 34bhp coming from the 48V electric motor in the gearbox. Meaning the Countach LPI 800-4 has 803bhp. The new car will do 0-60mph in just 2.8 seconds, a whole two seconds faster than the 70s supercar. Top speed here is limited to 221mph.

Lamborghini is releasing the new car to celebrate 50 years since the original Countach made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

Inside, the new Countach is still bang up to date as the latest Aventador, with a 8.4-inch infotainment screen, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
