Nest cameras can now be live-streamed to Chromecast with Google TV

Nest security cameras can now be live-streamed to local Chromecast with Google TV devices. This will allow users to watch their live security footage directory on a TV or monitor, without the need to grab a smartphone.

The update started rolling out earlier in July and all models of Nest cameras are supported, from outdoor models to doorbells. To make access a little quicker than fumbling around for an app, you can simply ask the Google assistant “Hey Google, show me the front door camera on my TV.”

Earlier this year in May, Google rolled out support for the Echo show and other Amazon devices to be able to Nest camera footage.
