New Genesis GV60 facelift revealed with updated styling

Genesis, the luxury sub-brand of the Hyundai Group has revealed the new refreshed GV60, with updated styling, larger screens inside and potentially, a larger battery pack - which is yet to be confirmed. The GV60 is the sister car to the very popular Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Hyundai Ioniq 6, all sitting on the same E-GMP 800V platform.

The GV60 was announced back in October 2021 and has been on sale in the UK since 2022. This new version is the first facelift of the model since its debut and seems to offer a lot of nice improvements.

For the exterior styling, Genesis hasn't done loads, certainly not as much as we saw with the latest Kia EV6 refresh. However, the front bumper now looks a bit more aggressive and the air intakes at the side are also a bit more prominent. The headlights also look a bit slimmer and have something called 'Micro Lens Array', which according to Genesis should offer better light performance and control.

We also get some new alloy wheels to choose from, notably with the 21-inch five spoke versions, as seen in the initial images.

Inside, Genesis has also done a fair amount, but not loads. Previously, the car had two 12.3-inch displays, but to coincide with the other new Genesis models, this has now been swapped out for one large 27-inch screen. Also the steering wheel is brand new, seen in the new GV70 and looks a lot more sporty.

For the batteries, Genesis hasn't said anything yet. However, with the recent updates to the Ioniq 6 and EV6, these both saw an upgrade to the battery capacity, jumping from 77.4kWh to 84kWh. While Genesis hasn't confirmed it, it is expected to see this in the GV60. This should increase the range of the GV60 from the current 321 miles to potentially 350+ miles.

For the UK market - Genesis is yet to announce anything and the company hasn't confirmed yet when the car will go on sale, however we are hoping this will be announced soon.
