This week, Mazda has updated its small hatchback the Mazda 2 with a fresh new design, adding new paint options, wireless Apple CarPlay and more. The car is on sale now in the UK, priced from £17,750.

The main changes are to the outside, which features a new front grille, revised wing design and a more sporty design to the front bumper. We also get some nice colour accents, in the header image these are yellow.

For the engines, Mazda has kept these the same as the previous car with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four cylinder, available as either a 73bhp, 88bhp or 113bhp option. The mild hybrid system, e-Skyactiv-G is available on manual cars, just not the automatic ones.

Inside, there are new decorative dashboard panels which are available on the Centre Line and Exclusive Line trim levels and these are offered in either mint, white or black. Wireless Apple CarPlay is also available as standard, as is climate control and cruise control.

The new updated Mazda 2 is on sale now in the UK, priced from £17,750, which is less than the Toyota Yaris and Peugeot 208.
