Samsung launches new 4G Tizen phone in India

Samsung launches new 4G Tizen phone in India

Samsung has long used Android to power the large majority of it’s smartphones, but in recent years and also quite recently the in house developed Tizen operating system has been cropping up on some lower priced Samsung phones. The most recent phone to received the Tizen treatment is aimed at the emerging markets, most directly India. the new Samsung Z2 starts at £51 ($68 or 4,590 INR).

As the price is notably low, the Z2 is slightly lacking in the performance but on paper, not so much as to be an annoyance, it features a 1.5GHz processor and 1GB RAM, along with a 4-inch 480×800 AMOLED screen. The storage is lacking somewhat, at 8GB but like most Samsungs a microSD card slot is included for external expansion. Reading the specs it sounds more like a iPhone 5 than anything else.

The Samsung Z2 will be going on Sale in India on August 29th and will be available in three colours; Black, Gold and Wine Red.
