Tesla launches the Cybertruck in Canada, prices from $137,990

Tesla has just launched the Cybertruck in Canada and it is pretty pricey. Prices start from $137,990 CAD which sounds like a lot, but when you convert it back to USD, it comes at at $100,000, which is what Tesla is charging for the all-wheel-drive Foundation Series Cybertruck. However, what car companies typically do is adjust the pricing it offers in Canada to make thing a bit more appealing, but Tesla has straight up converted USD to CAD.

Earlier this week, Tesla Canada began sending invites to customers who had put down a reservation and letting them place an official order. The only versions available are the Foundation Series, in other AWD or Cyberbeast. The latter in Canada is priced at $165,990 and is $119,990 in the US.

Tesla is excepted to to launch a cheaper version of the Cybertruck by the end of 2024 which will be rear-wheel-drive. Prices are not yet know. In related news, Tesla took the Cybertruck on a tour around the UK a few months ago and it made an appearance at Goodwood Festival of Speed. Tesla is not expected to sell the Cybertruck in the UK, or Europe.
