Toyota Proace Max now on sale in the UK, priced from £41,580

Toyota has launched its largest van yet, the Proace Max and if it looks familiar, don't worry it isn't just you. Toyota has made another deal with Stellantis to platform share for its largest van and it sits on the same platform as the Fiat Ducato, Citroen Relay, Peugeot Boxer, Vauxhall Movano and Opel Movano. Fun fact, it is also sold in the US as the Ram ProMaster. Toyota now offers a complete range commercial vehicles, with the Proace City small van, Proace medium van, the Hilux and now the largest, Proace Max.

Because the Proace Max shares the majority of itself with other Stellantis vans, we get the same choice of powertrain, with pure EV and diesel. The diesel option has a 2.2-litre turbocharged four cylinder with 138bhp and 350Nm of torque. This is offered as either a six speed manual or eight-speed automatic. In the automatic you do get less torque, dropping to 280Nm.

The EV version gets a huge 110kWh battery pack, 268bhp and 410Nm of torque. The EV version is the one to get if you need more power. Range is 260 miles and charges at 150kW which should take you from 0-80% in 55 minutes.

Prices start at £41,580 for the diesel and from £62,375 for the electric version.
