Ubiquiti introduces new UISP Horn, for PtMP deployments

Ubiquiti introduces new UISP Horn, for PtMP deployments

Ubiquiti has today released a brand new product in its new line of UISP devices. The UISP Horn is a symmetrical antenna which propagates a very uniform antenna pattern. The UISP Horn looks very similar to the iconic horns from RF Elements, even the wave guide attachment is pretty much identical.

This antenna would be best used in a very congested wireless space and is good for any PtMP deployments. Ubiquiti says the UISP Horn is compatible with the airFiber 5XHD, LTU Rocket and the Rocket Prism 5AC. Beamwidth is 30° and it supports a very wide array of frequencies, from 5150 up to 6875.

This wide range of frequencies might be Ubiquiti preparing for new airMAX or LTU hardware which supports 6GHz, which will open up a massive frequency space and allow for greater capacity in dense PtMP environments.

The new UISP Horn is on sale now from the official Ubiquiti store, at store.ui.com. In the US it is up for $249, in the EU for €269.83 and in the UK for £224.54.
