Ubiquiti launches new "Push-to-exit button" for UniFi Access

Ubiquiti has quietly launched a new accessory for its UniFi Access line with a new simple accessory, the UA-Button which is a simple "Push-to-exit button" and marks the first time Ubiquiti has offered something like this. Prior to this release, Ubiquiti has always hinted at customers getting a button from a third-party. The new button connects to one of the many hubs that is on offer within UniFi Access and includes:

  • UA-G2-SK
  • UA-G2-SK-Pro
  • UA-Hub
  • EAH-8
  • UA-Ultra

The fact that this works with the very inexpensive UA-Ultra is incredible, making the cost for each door much lower when the need for it is very low too. Prior to the release of the UA-Ultra, the cost per door would be pretty high, as it would require the larger hubs which only are required when you need multiple devices and a camera.

The new UA-Button can be purchased for $39 in the US, £37.20 in the UK, although it is marked as "coming soon" here and in the EU for €43.20.
