Today, Ubiquiti has launched the brand new G4 Doorbell Pro. Its available in the GA store in both the EU/UK and US stores and this follows a five month period in the EA store. Ubiquiti announced the G4 Doorbell Pro earlier this year in January and has a large host of new features.
The G4 Doorbell Pro moves on from the G4 Doorbell with a black colour by default, two cameras, 1.3-inch touchscreen, two way audio, weatherproofing and more. We have two cameras this time, one 5MP lens for standard viewing – which is an increase from the 2MP on the standard model. The second camera faces downwards and is primarily used for package detection.
New also is a 1.3-inch display, which Ubiquiti says can be programmed to alert new visitors or show instructions to delivery drivers. The screen looks very similar to the ones seen on the UDM Pro and other new switches the company offers now.
A very common complaint with the first doorbell Ubiquiti launched was the lack of any wired networking support. However, this has been solved with the new Pro model as it supports both dual-band WiFi and GbE connectivity for data, we can even use an adaptor to power it via PoE.
The new G4 Doorbell Pro is available now from the official Ubiquiti store, in the US, EU and UK. Priced at £289.05 in the UK, €339.60 in the EU and $299 in the US.
