Ubiquiti releases UISP 2.2.12, with huge UI changes

Just last week, Ubiquiti launched UISP 2.2.12 which comes with some huge changes to the UI. UISP is Ubiquiti’s dedicated management software to monitor and administer its provider devices, such as airMAX, airFiber, EdgeMAX and more. UISP is essentially the UniFi Controller for these kinds of devices, but many of them excluding the UISP branded devices don’t actually require the controller to operate fully.

In this new update, Ubiquiti has now moved on from the old style dashboard and devices page. In previous versions, the new dashboard was being developed and it now at a stage where Ubiquiti believes it is ready for stable release. To this end, the option to disable the new pages has been removed.

With the new Devices page, everything has been tidied up with the tabs removed. Instead, there are much improved filters allowing you to view Routers, Switches, UPS devices and more.

The firmware management has also been improved, the new Updates section in settings replaces the Firmware menu and allows for automatic updates, scheduling and more.

Other improvements include:

  • Push notifications for power events from EdgePower and UISP Power devices
  • Better support for UISP Wave
  • Network and Wireless config now possible for airMAX AC

There is a huge list of improvements, which can be found on the official community post here.
