Vauxhall has launched a new variant of the Corsa Electric which is now the cheapest new EV on sale in the UK. The new Corsa Yes starts at £26,895 which just undercuts the MG4 by £100 which is priced at £26,995. Until the Renault 5 goes on sale, this will be the cheapest new EV on sale in the UK. Vauxhall won’t be selling the new trim level in dealerships, instead it’ll be available to order online only from 17th April.

In terms of where this sits in the range, we get a 50kWh battery pack and 221 miles of range which is the same as the old entry level model, the Design but it also takes elements of design fro the GS trim. The Corsa Yes also has 16-inch alloy wheels, 7-inch drivers display and 10-inch infotainment screen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Inside, there is also Corsa #Yes branding on the dash.

In order to bring some new buyers in, Vauxhall has partnered up with Tesco supermarkets and will be offering an entire year of free charging at its stores.
