Very last Ford Mondeo for Europe and the UK made this week

This week, Ford has produced the very last Mondeo destined for Europe and the UK at its factory in Valencia, Spain. Ford has now confirmed that production of the model has now ended.

This week, a body engineer who works in the Valencia factory shared a photo on LinkedIn of the last two examples of the Mondeo. The vert last Mode was made on 30th Mach 2022.

Last year, Ford confirmed that the Mondeo would be discontinued in 2022, saying that the buying behaviour and habits of customers in the EU and UK have changed over the years, with people now preferring SUVs and larger vehicles.

However, the Mondoe isn’t going sway completely, over in China the car is coming back in a fifth generation and will goon sale soon.

Now that the Mondeo is not profited at the Valencia factory, Ford will now be increasing production of the 2.5-litre engine of the new Kuga PHEV and hybrid versions of the Kuga, Galaxy and S-Max.
