Volkswagen makes the new all electric ID.5 available in the UK

Volkswagen has this week, revealed the all new and all electric ID.5 which is now on sale here in the UK, priced from £50,550. The top of the line GTX Max will be £58,640.

The ID.5 is essentially a coupe version of the ID.4 but it has the largest battery pack Volkswagen has offered to date, with a 77kWh pack which offers up to 313 miles of range.

There are three trim levels to choose from, the Tech, Max and the GTX Max. The Tech comes with LED matrix headlights, three zone climate control, heads up display, fully electric tailgate and 12-way adjustable electric seats, complete with a massage function.

Jumping up to the Max adds 20-inch alloys, sports seats, Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) and a heat pump which makes heating the car much more energy efficient.

At the top is the GTX Max, with glossy bumpers, GTX logos throughout the cabin and red stitching.

ID.5 Tech Pro states at £50,000, Max at £54,050 and the GTX Max at £58,640.
