Windows 10 Store beta now is now functional

For the last few versions of the Windows 10 Technical Preview a dark grey ‘beta’ version of the App Store has always been available, but non accessible. Now Microsoft have made the new store available for anyone on the latest version. The plan behind it is to have one store for everything that runs Windows 10 – so desktops, laptops, Xbox One, IoT and smartphones.

Two new apps were previewed last month namely Vidoes Preview and Music Preview, these also being the “universal design.”

The end plan is to have one email app and it run on Windows Phones and PCs and one of everything else and run the same code. Eventually most of the core apps on Windows 10 will run universal apps.
