Volkswagen launches new Taigun SUV in India

Volkswagen launches new Taigun SUV in India

Earlier this week, Volkswagen launched a new smaller SUV in India, called the Taigun – the company says it has been ‘specifically’ designed for the Indian market and is a very similar size to the T-Cross SUV we get here in the UK and Europe.

The new Taigun will go into production next year in 2021, and is part of a large investment Volkswagen has made into India. It has invested £847 million into manufacturing vehicles in the country.

Currently, there is no pricing information, but Autocar India has reported that when it launches it will have a 130bhp, 1.5-litre four cylinder petrol engine. Inside the Taigun has a digital display for the rev counter and speedometer dials and a 8.0-inch central touchscreen for the infotainment.
