GWM has revised the lineup of the Ora 03 in the UK this week and has subsequently dropped the price across the board. This means that now, the baseline model, which has been renamed from Pure+ to Pure is now £24,995, where previously it was £31,995. The Pro+ model has been renamed to simply Pro and is cheaper too, down from £34,995 to £28,995.
The Pure model has the same 48kWh battery from the Pure+, with a range of 190 miles WLTP. The Pro retains the 63kWh battery from the Pro+ and has a range of 260 miles WLTP.
Pure
While the Pure model is now cheaper, Ora has changed a few things on the spec. Namely is the seats, which have been swapped from leatherette to cloth, but are still electrically adjustable. In the back, the armrest with cupholders has been removed. The other changes come down to what colours are available. Ora has removed the lighter Nebula Green from the lineup, but has retained Aurora Green, Starry Black, Moonlight White and Mars Red. However, the other changes come down the interior colours. Previously this could be had in either Black, Green and White or Red and White. It seems going forward that Ora has decided to simplify the range and it now comes in just Black or Green and White.
Pro
For the Pro, the changes between it and the outgoing Pro+ are quite significant. Essentially, some of its features are now only available on the brand new 03 GT model, as Ora has removed the panoramic sunroof as well as the massaging and ventilation features from the front seats.
GT
The big news is the brand new top spec model, which is priced at £32,995 - £2,000 less than the outgoing Pro+ version. This new model is pictured above and adds a new sporty look, red accenting, red brake calipers, wider wheel arches, roof spoiler and black and red interior. In terms of spec, this adds the sunroof as well as the massaging and ventilated seats from the Pro+. However, Ora has also added a heat pump and interestingly, launch control to this sporty version. The heat pump should mean the 03 has better winter efficiency. This has the same 63kWh battery as the Pro model and has slightly less range, at 248 miles WLTP.
Even though Ora has launched a new GT model which looks more sporty, all three versions of the 03 have the same motor, making 171 PS (169bhp), 250 Nm of torque and driving the front wheels only.
Availability
GWM Ora started taking pre-orders for the new updated models on 21st January with customer deliveries to start in March.
