Volkswagen is working on a sporty ID. Buzz GTX

Volkswagen has revealed that it is working on a more sporty version of the recently announced ID. Buzz minibus. The company has announced that, over time the GTX badge will come to all of tis electric cars under the ID brand, which includes the ID. Buzz minibus.

So far, VW has two GTX models in the lineup, the ID.4 GTX and the ID.5 GTX. Both have four wheel drive, with a bit less range thanks to the extra performance. Considering the ID. Buzz is based on the same platform as the ID.5 GTX, it would make sense for it to have the same performance figures. The ID.5 GTX has a 77kWh battery, with a 295bhp and 460Nm electric motor.

Here in the UK, the ID. Buzz isn’t available quite just yet, it’ll cost from £57,115 for the base model, with £61,915 for the model in the middle and then for the 1st Edition, £62,995. We can expect the upcoming GTX to be more expensive than this, probably £65,000+.

To secure a priority slot for the five-seat ID.Buzz, customers need to put down a £2,000 deposit by 30th June 2022.
