Premium Mercedes EQS SUV will go on sale in November

Mercedes announced the all new EQS SUV earlier this year in April and it is soon about to go on sale in the UK. In a few months time in November, Mercedes will put the premium SUV on sale, priced from £130,000. The EQS brand name applies to the ultra-luxury versions of the company’s electric vehicles, with a saloon EQS already on sale.

The EQS SUV will be available as a seven seater only in the UK, but some markets will be able to purchase it as a five seater. Here in the UK, Mercedes will offer just two models, the EQS 450+ and the EQS 580+ 4MATIC. The 450+ is rear wheel drive and given the name, the 580+ is four wheel drive. Later on, Mercedes will add to other 4MATIC models to the line up.

All models feature the same battery pack, a 107.8kWh system with a range of 410 miles on the entry level 450+ model. The motor on this model has 355bhp and a huge 568Nm. The EQS saloon is also available with a smaller 90kWh pack, but Mercedes won’t be offering the SUV with this, presumably due to weight and outweighing the tradeoff with range.

The top of the range 580+ 4MATIC has 536bhp and 858Nm and is capable of doing 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds. Range here is 381 miles.

All EQS SUV models can rapid charge at 200kW and can therefore go from 10-80% in 31 minutes.

The all new EQS SUV will go on sale here in the UK later this year in November, priced from £130,000.
