Today, Ubiquiti has moved the new AI DSLR camera out of the EA store into GA. The super expensive camera was announced back in October 2022 and comes with an add-on lens as well as an outdoor shroud to make the camera look less conspicuous. The camera connects to the UniFi Protect application and records in full 4K resolution, using the 10MP sensor. There is also support for two-way audio, using the speaker and built-in microphone. There are two versions available, with 17mm and 45mm, the latter for long distance and the other for wider viewing angles.

The use cases for this could extend to monitoring a car park entrance and then using the smart detections to record car registrations. The waterproof case also has a tripod mount which is even more interesting. Ubiquiti has also specified that the microphone and speaker will be disabled once the waterproof case is attached. Two prime lens from Olympus are available.

The new AI DSLR is on sale now the EU, UK, US and Canada. Priced from $2,499 US, €2,296 EU, £1,999 UK and CAD$3,343.
