Apple launches a MagSafe battery pack for iPhone 12

Apple launches a MagSafe battery pack for iPhone 12

Today Apple has released a new MagSafe accessory for the current generation of iPhone, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. The MagSafe Battery Pack works like the other accessories out there, such as the wallet Apple makes and just snaps to the back of the phone, magnetically.

It works with the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max and provides extra battery capacity to the iPhone and costs £99 in the UK and $99 in the US. Link to UK store here and link to US store here. The battery pack only comes in white and has a 11.13Wh battery, the iPhone 12 has a 10.78Wh battery for comparison. The pack can charge the phone up at 5W while out and about and charges up while the iPhone itself is plugged in, or via a Lightning cable.

The new MagSafe Battery Pack requires iOS 14.7 or later to be used and will be available to customers from 19th July.
