BMW launches new charging service in the UK

BMW has launched a new charging service recently here in the UK, which offers one simple package with various pricing options. The service will have main app and give BMW and Mini customers access to charging stations from BP Pulse, ESB, Osprey, Source London, Instavolt and Ionity.

There are a few options on how to pay, with the Flex tariff, BP Pulse package and the Ionity Plus package. The first one offers an app or card and it is a pay for what you use system, with a bill at the end of the month for what has been used only. The latter two are baed around monthly fees, but for less than what each network cost per month on their own. For the Ionity network, customers usually pay 69p per kWh, but though the BMW subscription this comes down to 26p per kWh.

BMW and Mini customers are offered one of the packages for one year, free of charge. Customers who purchase a hybrid or all electric BMW or Mini will get the BP Pulse package free for one year. However, for those who opt for the pricier BMW iX3 or the iX will get the Ionity Plus package free for one year.
