Certain iPhone models in India have had a price increase, due to increased import duties

This week, Apple has increased the prices of the most recent iPhone models in India, this is after the news from the Indian government that import duties would increase. Apple’s response to the import duties increase, is to just increase the prices of the iPhone 8, iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro in India.

For example, an entry level iPhone 11 Pro 64GB has gone from ₹99,900 → ₹1,01,200 which is £1,070 to £1,084 so not a massive increase, but an increase in cost nonetheless.

For a while now, certain models of the iPhone have been “Assembled in India,” such as the iPhone XR and the iPhone 7 and these are not being increased in price.
