Citroën launches new entry level e-C4 Sense

Citroën launches new entry level e-C4 Sense

This week, Citroën has expanded its line up of the e-C4 with a new less expensive model sitting at the base, with the new Sense. Citroën says customer demands have requested for a more price accessible model and this is it. Sitting at £28,495 including the government’s £1,500 plug in car grant, the e-C4 is around £2,500 cheaper than it used to be.

So, what has Citroën done to knock the price off, well you still get a lot for the money, of course it is still an EV and the drivetrain hasn’t been changed for this model. The range is 217 miles from the 50kWh battery pack.

Buyers still get 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, rear parking sensors, electrically folding door mirrors, keyless go. Inside there is a 10-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Elsewhere in the lineup, Citroën has tweaked some of the naming with the Shine model being remained to Shine Edition and it starts at £30,495 (inlc grant). At the top of the range is the Shine Plus and it sits at £34,995 – however, unfortunately this version is not eligible for the plug in car grant due to it being more than £32,000.

The new e-C4 Sense is on sale in the UK, for £28,495.
